The History of Neath Music Ltd.
Allen Sutton originally founded the business that is now called Neath Music in 1980. Allen used his redundancy payout from the British Steel Company to lease a shop in Charlesville Place at the back entrance of Neath market. Around five years later the business moved to its current location in Water street and the business was renamed Neath Music Centre.
The current director, Adrian Bamford began working at the shop, as a Saturday employee, for Allen Sutton, in 1988. The job quickly became full time, then a management position, and in 1993 Allen decided to sell the business and Adrian Bamford purchased it. The shop underwent a major cosmetic refurbishment in 2006 and is now one of the most striking business premises in Neath.
The ethos of the shop has always been based on good product knowledge and great customer service. The staff all endeavour to be as helpful and accommodating as possible which has earned the business a great reputation; a reputation that extends to our on line customers, and one that we are very keen to maintain.
Neath Music has seen many changes in business practices over the years and with the emergence of the Internet as a selling tool, we now have customers from all over the UK and Europe.
